The invitation to tender for the Jarrow Hall Resilient Heritage Masterplan is now open.

With support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and made possible thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle (GWSTAN) is seeking to appoint a consultant to develop a Resilient Heritage Masterplan for Jarrow Hall.

Operated by the trust since spring 2016, Jarrow Hall features an Anglo-Saxon farm home to rare breed and rescued animals, a village with reconstruction historic buildings, a listed Georgian house and a large museum building dedicated to the incredible legacy of the medieval monk Bede.

Jarrow Hall is a very special place that means an incredible amount to the people of our region and beyond. To secure the future of the site we are inviting bids for the development and creation of a Resilient Heritage Masterplan which will enable the trust to realise its vision of Jarrow Hall as a world-unique visitor attraction and heritage site capable of not merely sustaining itself long term, but also incorporating, supporting and enhancing the life-changing work of GWSTAN.

The successful delivery of this Masterplan will ensure Jarrow Hall is a resilient and successful force for good in the region; a world-renowned exemplar for delivery of a commercially, culturally and ethically-sustainable heritage site.

The new deadline for expressions of interest is 8th May 2018.
