We are open to visitors for two more weekends in 2020 before our annual winter closure from 13th December until February 2021. After that, our farm team will continue to look after the animals who live with us over the period of closure—they will miss you all.

Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for news of reopening dates and ticket sales for events.

We hope to see you all soon.

Discover the incredible world of Anglo-Saxon Northumbria and the extraordinary life of Bede - the father of English history - at our 11-acre historical and environmental oasis. Explore a museum dedicated to the life and legacy of Bede, reconstructed Anglo-Saxon dwellings, and a farm home to rare-breed and rescued animals. Jarrow Hall is part of The Explorer's Road, a multi-stop touring route through the cultural and historic heart of England, and the starting point for The Way of Learning, one of The Northern Saints Trails.

Suitable for visitors of all ages, join us for a great day out.

“Possibly my favourite place in the world... certainly the most important Anglo-Saxon site in the world"
Dr Janina Ramirez - Cultural historian, broadcaster and author
