Discover the incredible world of Anglo-Saxon Northumbria and the extraordinary life of the father of English history at our 11-acre historical and environmental oasis in the heart of South Tyneside.
Jarrow Hall features a museum dedicated to exploring the fascinating life and legacy of Bede, an extensive Anglo-Saxon demonstration farm (home to rare-breed and rescued animals) and reconstructed Anglo-Saxon dwellings.
Open six days a week Tuesday to Sunday, Jarrow Hall is suitable for visitors of all ages and is companion animal-friendly too. See our Opening Times and Visitor Information page to plan your visit.

Taking part in our exciting Crafternoons sessions and you will make a themed craft item each week to take home. This is a drop-in session; materials will be limited and available on a first-come first-served basis so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. Complimentary with general admission to Jarrow Hall. Donations welcome.
A recital by the Benedict Biscop Gregorian Choir, a group drawing singers from across the North-East of England to learn and perform Gregorian chant and other plainsong, exploring some of the roots of Western music and attempting to relate the heritage of this music to life in the 21st century.
