Heritage Lottery South Tyneside Heritage Trail
June 14 - 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join us at Jarrow Hall as the National Lottery’s Heritage Lottery Fund shines a spotlight on South Tyneside stories.
Jarrow Hall are pleased to part of the South Tyneside Stories celebrations and invite everyone to join us on the 14th June as part of the South Tyneside Heritage Trail, which will feature heritage activities for all and reduced entry for National Lottery players to many iconic South Tyneside landmarks.
Enjoy Anglo-Saxon crafts throughout the day at Jarrow Hall, including bracelet spinning, rune making and clay jewellery making. Visitors can also enjoy a museum tour at 1pm and farm talk at 3pm.
For National Lottery players and their families admission is just £2 per person and free for under 5’s. Simply show a valid National Lottery ticket for the period between 7 and 21 June upon entry, and your valid ticket will admit up to six people at the reduced rate.
More than £12million has been invested into projects sharing and saving South Tyneside’s heritage by the Heritage Lottery. However, with fewer National Lottery funding applications and awards compared to the rest of the North East, South Tyneside is currently a priority area for funding for HLF. This means that HLF staff work closely with organisations to develop strong applications and to ensure South Tyneside’s heritage stories get the recognition they deserve.
Jarrow Hall is just one of the many venues across South Tyneside taking part in the Heritage Trail. To find out more about the exciting events and activities the Heritage Lottery have planned across South Tyneside click here.
