Hive Coffee Company
Hive Coffee Company opens at Jarrow Hall House April 1 2017 - whether you're visiting the Bede Museum and Anglo-Saxon Farm or coming along for a quick coffee, lunch or meeting, our café is open throughout the week for all to enjoy.
Endeavoring to use as much local and healthy produce as possible, visitors can look forward to a range of wholesome foods with dishes prepared fresh on site daily. From salads to flatbreads, quiches to cakes, there's something for every taste, as well as a wide range of dietary-conscious options including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.
With a rich history of beekeeping on our site and the Anglo-Saxons themselves using honey to sweeten foods and produce mead, medicines and more, Jarrow Hall has an intimate and long-standing relationship with these extraordinary creatures. With the hive being the place where bees come together to live and work, Hive Coffee Company's founders - locals Sarah Daglish and Eve McPadden - encourage people to come together in their shared space to relax, eat and connect.
“We're thrilled to be reviving the café for the full launch of Jarrow Hall in April 2017, bringing life back to this beautiful building and offering something different and exciting to the local community. Great food for everyone is something we really believe in, and we look forward to inviting visitors old and new, delighting them with high-quality handcrafted food and coffee daily.”
