Discover the incredible world of Anglo-Saxon Northumbria and the extraordinary life of Bede - the father of English history - at our historic and environmental oasis in the heart of South Tyneside. Set across 11 acres, Jarrow Hall features a museum dedicated to exploring the life and legacy of Bede, alongside an extensive Anglo-Saxon farm and reconstructed Anglo-Saxon dwellings.
We're embarking on a mission to transform our farm into an animal sanctuary while enhancing the story we tell about how the Anglo-Saxons lived and worked with animals. Already home to over 70 rare-breed and rescued individuals, donations will support essential improvements for our current and future residents.
Open six days a week Tuesday to Sunday, Jarrow Hall is suitable for visitors of all ages and is companion animal-friendly too. See our Opening Times and Visitor Information page to plan your visit.

Come along for a special spooky tour of our fantastic medieval Herb Garden. These sessions are complimentary with general admission to Jarrow Hall. Sessions availble at 11:00 am and 14:00 pm
Guided by our team across a four-week programme that begins anew every month, young farmers will get behind the scenes, meet new friends, discover life on the farm and learn about the animals who live at Jarrow Hall close up. Suitable for ages 8 – 12. Tickets £20 (for 4 weeks)
